Gender equality has always been incredibly important to me. Having worked in the AV industry for over 20 years I'm accustomed to being the only woman in the room at times. This is an industry I love, this is work I am passionate about, and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be part of it.  

I launched Women in AV Australia to shine a light on the gender gap in our industry and be an active part of bridging that gap and in turn fill the skills shortage in the industry. Since the launch, the group has gathered great support from women and from men. It is my hope that in the not too distant future, having women working on AV crews is not a talking point, it's just the norm.
 
We can all be part of making this happen.
